Cetara
To get a little idea of what the Amalfi Coast was like before most of the towns were inandated by mass tourism, drive to, or better yet take a ferry boat to the little fishing village town of Cetara, , just north of Salerno. It's a lovely little town that is still a very active fishing village that specializes in Anchovies (Alici) and Tonno (Tuna), as well as other local fish and shellfish. This being said, it is only natural that there a good Seafood Restaurant in Cetara. Yes, some the best seafood restaurants and trattoria's of the AMalfi Coast, can be found in the fishing village of Cetara. Cetara is located by the Tyrrhenian Sea, on the Amalfi Drive road between the "Marina" of Albori and Erchie, bordering with the municipalities of Vietri sul Mare and Maiori. Its municipalities is extended from the coast to the Mount Falerio and counts only one civil parish (frazione): the little village of Fuenti, situated on the hills close to the Amalfi Drive.Trattoria PUNTO e PASTA
CETARA
Very good seafood served with passion on beautiful hand-made ceramic plates. A charming little restaurant where you feel really welcome. Antonio, the Chef, and his son Marco really know how to make you feel special. We had a variety of dishes and were so pleasantly surprised on our first visit that we couldn't wait to have dinner there again on the following evening (our second and last night). The house wine (white) was excellent too! The limoncello was delicious! This is a great little place, and you are sure to be satisfied if you eat a meal here.
Crostino di Alici e Ricotta
Crostini with Alici & RIcotta is a great way to start any meal at Punto e Pasta. The Alici (Anhcovies) are caught by the local fisherman of Cetara, and the Ricotta comes from local farms. And the wine of course is local as well, whether you get Ravello Bianco, Greco, or Falaghina as I have here. Mangia Bevie Bene!

GROCERIA
CeTARA
I bought a bottle of Falagnhina and some Dry Oregano at the lovely little Groceria in Cetara. Then I went outside and my Cousin Tony ran over my foot. I kid you not. I was putting the wine, Alici, Oregano and everyhting into the car, but I was not in the car, when my Cousin Tony moved the car, and the back passenger-side wheel was directly on top of my foot. Luckily and Miraculously, I didn't get hurt. I couldn't beleive that none of those little bones in my foot were broken. I didn't even have one little brusie, or anything. It was amazing.COOKING ITALIAN
